I may be hard at work but the sun is beating down through the glass windows, we have the door open letting a small breeze in and we have the  Ibiza Chillout Album playing, bliss!!

Hi Guys and Dolls

 So this is now my 1^st month here at ‘The Dollshouse’ and wow how I am loving my new adventure!

I have been colouring for 10 years working with many brands, here we are using ‘Redken’ and I can honestly say it’s the best so far; it gives the hair an amazing shine and feel with chromatics, the permanent hair colour that has no ammonia and  gives hair a multi dimensional colour. I love it!! The best part is it is custom made to a shade that suits you so it is purely unique!!

My second week here Cat sat me down decided I needed ‘HD Brows’…I was tinted, waxed, pulled and threaded to what felt within an edge of my life..But the first glance in the mirror left me amazed. Truly the best eye brows I have owned. Even my boyfriend noticed how lovely they looked and that’s saying something!! I hope you’ve all got that weekend feeling on this beautiful day ..Let me introduce myself as the new Receptionist of The Dollshouse, Barnes!

I’m into my second week working here and am absolutely loving it! I’m sure you’ve all known the team longer than I have but they’re all amazing and the best at what they do. The treatments and products here are brilliant and second to none and to perfect ‘The Dollshouse’ look I had to give them a go..

To begin I had to try the HD Brow treatment, everyone was loving it so thought I should give it a go.. I lay back, relaxed and let Cat carry out her magic..

The High Definition Brow treatment goes through simple but effective steps including tinting the brow, waxing, tweezing and threading to create the perfect shape before finishing with Mineral Make Up and eye brow pencil for THE perfect Definitive Brows!! Believe me I should know I’m used to my very light eyebrows which just blend in and make me feel quite plain but now they really accentuate my face and bring out the colour of my hair..I can’t believe I haven’t been doing this the whole time?!

Why on earth are The Dolls House going to be on Channel four?, I hear you cry! It’s a short story so let me tell you it. In my wisdom, I decided to reply to an advert I saw in a beauty magazine. It wanted small businesses to take part in a documentary that would help them increase their profits and client bases! I thought I’d be stupid not to apply…

Two weeks later, a researcher phoned me and we were talking on the phone for about an hour. Yes, an hour! As the beauty manager, she wanted to know everything about me. She was very thorough indeed! By the end of our conversation, she even knew what colour socks I had on and what school I went to!

Before I knew it, I had a camrea crew in my face. They arrived to do a short pilot shoot for the show. They obviously wanted to know if we were going to be suitable candidates for the program. I took to being in front of the camreas like a duck to water and within five minutes, I was giving them a guided tour of the salon to camrea. I then felt like a famous celebrity as they started interviewing myself and Cat. What fun!

They left us after a few hours. Now, all we had to do was wait and find out whether they wanted us for the show…

Think pampering! pampering! pampering! Here is a list of things you can do to make yourself feel less Gloomsday and more Glamorous with treatments at The Dolls House.

I started at The Dolls House last Monday looking like I needed a little glamour in my life and that’s exactly what I was given. I was sprused up with some fabulous HD brows by Cat and I got myself a California spray tan by Marc to get that healthy summer glow. Who needs a holiday when you can get a california spray tan at The Dolls House hey?! I also got my Dolls House uniform, a brand new little black dress. Im not complaining!

It’s been a pretty funny week to start at The Dolls House as we are currently filming for a Channel 4 tv show so it has all been a bit crazy. But that’s always the best way to start, in at the deep end!

The clients really do make work worth while. I love the looks on their faces after having a treatment or their hair done. There is no better feeling than leaving The Dolls House looking and feeling fabulous.

And lucky for me, I’ve got the beautiful guys and dolls at The Dolls House to ensure that I look at my most glamorous for the occasion. And these are my beauty tips to ensure you look at your most glamorous if you decide to go GLAMPING:

First of all, you must ensure you have a full body spray tan. This is so important. And as any of you who have been camping are aware, you won’t really be washing all weekend, so it means the tan won’t fade so quickly! That’s tantastic! Having your tan topped up will also be a godsend as there won’t be much opportunity to make sure your make-up is fresh. Although, I have invested in a face size mirror to take with me. I have to see what I look like as the weekend passes!

Next, make sure you have your eyebrows perfected, HD style. They will look amazing and I always find the darker they are, the more sexy I feel. Especially when I’ve had a spray tan. And so important, get yourself some false eyelashes. I have opted for the medium sized cluster lashes. And have gone for a full set. This is an absolute must have when glamping. It’s not so easy to have your mascara on hand, so this way, your eyes will be ready to rock ‘n’ roll all weekend.

And I haven’t finished yet, oh no. Nails are something that are also an absolute must have when glamping. And OPI gel nails are the best a girl (or guy) can get. I have had a full OPI gel manicure done with PASSION colour. But there are many other colours to choose from, like Russian Navy or Cajun shrimp to give your hands the glamping look.

But one last thing before you’re ready to head off glamping. Hair! I have made sure I’ve had a toner put through my hair to really zap some life and brightness back into my barnett! You never know who you might meet when glamping so GLAMOUR is a must!

So today is my first day back after my crazy birthday holiday to Marbella! And as you know for a girl a holiday of any sort takes plenty of preparation. Not only do you have to think about how many shoes to pack and whether you’ve packed the right swimsuits for the occasion, you have to get the PERFECT hair, nails and waxing! So thats exactly what I did! I woke up last Tuesday on my day off and went straight to the expert… AMY! She got rid of evey stray hair possible and it was virtualy pain free with our Lycon wax. After my waxing I had a cheeky brow tint and a mini manicure to make sure my nails were in perrrrrfect shape!

Off I went on Thursday morning with the girls to Gatwick and guess what!? My bag was 6 Killos over weight! i had to take out all my hair essentials what a nightmare! I had my Heated rollers, hairdryer, tongs, straighters and makeup all in my hand lugage and even with all that removed i was 2 over… So i strapped all my shoes to my hand lugage! MADNESS!

While in Marbella i discorverd lots of thigns about my hair!

1. If you use REDKEN colour extend warer wear in the sun your hair stays beautiful soft and smooth!

2.  Beach waves really do work! They gave me and effortless look all day on the beach and by the pool and i still looked glamorus and fresh.

3. The sun makes it a beautiful coulor!

and finaly 4. CHAMPANGE DOSNT WORK WITH EXSTENTIONS! Dont go on holiday with friends who think its okay to pour a bottle of Champange on your head. its very sticky.

Now I’m home and looking back at my wonderful weekend I’ve realised that my hair is so low matince and easy going all thanks to my Cinderella Hair Exstentions! FABBYY!!

OHHH! and I almost forgot! I’ll be out of the Dolls House on Teusday because im filming and advert for L’Oreal! hoe exciting! I will keep you updated! Watch out Cheryl Cole Charlottes on the loose

Today, I practised using the new make up on Cat. I mixed together a foundation to suit her skin tones and applied with a foundation brush. I feel that using a foundtion brush creates a flawless and even application. I then used a concealer to cover up darker areas on the skin. I used a bronzer on the face and a pink blusher to enhance cats cheek bones.
As cat likes heavy eye make up I used the darker colours to create a smoky eye effect. Using a light colour in the corner of the eye to open them up and make them look bigger, I used a volume ehance mascara to create length and volume to cats lashes. I then filled cats eyebrows in with the HD pallet using the darker shades to compliment her smokey eyes.
To finish off the look I used one of our bed head lipsticks called Faith, which is a pale pink. The overal look looked great for an evening or a special occasion!
